Ms. Chamorro's i-Tree Design Project at Gunston Middle School

My students worked with Ms. Mary Van Dyke with i-Tree Design program on September 11, 12, and 13 of 2013.  They are now in the process of designing environmental and stewardship projects with Earth Force organization.

Ms Chamorro's students & Adopt-A-Street

Ms Chamorro's students joined the Arlington county's Adopt-A-Street program by Adopting Street 28. Ms Chamorro's 6th graders had their first cleaning activity of Street 28 on March 14th with Elenor Hodges, the Executive Director of Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment.  Arlington Educational TV came to film the students in action.  Here is the link to the video which aired on March 15, 2013.

Gunston Adopts-A-Street - 28th Street

Ms Chamorro's Science students decided to "Adopt-a-Street" in Arlington, VA - a section of 28th Street which is parallel to the school's soccer field.  We will have our first street clean up on March 14th with Elenor Hodges, the Director of ACE.  Ms Chamorro's 5 classes will participate during the school day, and then the entire school community is invited to participate from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
